J.B. North grew up in West Texas, where she spent much of her time scouring bookshelves in her aunt’s school library. Her first book, Spark (Legends of the Shifters, Book 1) hit digital shelves (and soon after, Amazon Bestseller lists) when she was 17 years old.
These days, when not at work on her next novel, North enjoys creating traditional and digital art, photographing nature, and exploring the boreal forests of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
And now to get up close and personal with some good ol’ first person!
Random Facts About Me:
I’m twenty-three years old, as of August 7th, 2019.
I’m the owner of two doggos; one a sweet, old Golden Retriever, the other an energetic—yet surprisingly snuggly—English Shepherd pup.
I like reading about psychology, what makes people tick, and how the mind works. Theories like MBTI, cognitive functions, and enneagram are right up my alley. (I’m an INFJ, Type 9, in case anyone cares to know. 😉 )
Though I live in a frigid climate where yetis roam free and snow reaches mountainous heights in Wal-Mart parking lots, I have an unhealthy obsession with ice cream. Luckily, there are people who keep me in check.
Current favorite books and authors: Scythe by Neal Shusterman, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo, and The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson.
Current favorite TV shows: Poldark, Stranger Things (usually watched while peeking through my fingers), and the cute and whimsical Hilda.
Favorite video games: Zelda – Twilight Princess and Zelda – Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Sunshine, and Ori and the Blind Forest.
I love traveling and learning about new cultures and languages! I haven’t gone overseas yet, but I hope (and pray!) that that day will come. Until then, I’ll keep watching my foreign films and documentaries. 😊
Last, but definitely not least, I’m a follower of Jesus Christ whose goal is to inspire and bring hope to those who read my books.
